Lavrion Main Port
Lavrion is a large commercial fishing harbor and was known for its industrial mining, but the town has seen a dramatic transformation in recent years and is now a destination in itself. Being a fishing town, be sure to eat fresh fish here, especially sardines and anchovies and on Thursdays, there is an excellent Farmer’s market.
Within the harbor on the town quay, there are berths available; however, note that many are reserved for permanent charter fleets and late-night discos and bars can make it noisy in the evenings. Changeover days are Fridays and Saturdays for most yachts, so outside of this, more berths should be available. Mooring lines are available. Electricity and water columns are present but not always in working order or available. Warning: The town quay is vulnerable to swells during strong southerly winds. Payment for a berth should go to the Harbor Authority only.
Berth Characteristics • 70 berths for up to 40m length and 6m draught.
